I’m so stoked you included brooches! I adore brooches and wear one with every outfit. If you don’t think brooches are for you, then I’m here to tell you that they absolutely are and that you will look and feel fabulous sporting one! I also second the eBay tip. Wait 48h and you’ll almost definitely get a discount offer! Another lovely thing I buy second hand on eBay are 1970s 80s Crewel embroidery kits. They are so much fun and most of them are very affordable. A wonderful gift for a crafty person in your life!

This was a beautiful rabbit hole for me… I followed pretty much all the links, and then followed links from there… I’ve emerged feeling (even more) excited to gift preloved/handmade/non-tangible stuff! Thank you! ✨

This is such a good guide!! I want all of the cabbageware and brooches.

Thank you!! I also want all the brooches - there’s one that actually didn’t make the guide because I already bought it (oops)

Thanks for sharing this! I took inspiration from this guide and found a Peanuts Christmas ornament from the year my partner was born on eBay!

Bought that gorgeous vintage majolica tulipiere as a gift for my mom, thanks for the recs!! Hope you get a link commission ;)

Bronwen Wyatt's avatar

I don’t! I’m not sure Etsy or eBay offer commission, but I don’t mind!

This is just wonderful- thank you! I bought my husband a vintage le Creuset fondue set a year ago. It was just £20 on Vinted.

And I bet it will last forever!

I think it will. So sturdily made

Especially the “caregiver stand-in” with the patient while the recipient gets out for a bit…

What a fabulous and inspiring guide! I was just saying that I wished brooches would come back I style — so fun! I’ll be on the lookout for your new class, too!

Bronwen Wyatt's avatar

Brooches are never out of style but I’ve seen so many lately! And thank you so much 💛

Thank you for the very fun and inspirational gift guide and I’m sorry for the loss of your father in law. May his memory be a blessing to your family.

What a thorough and thoughtful guide! As a mom to 3 kids that lives in a small house, I love the idea of gifting experiences or second hand items. Kids tend to be excited about a gift for a very short period of time, but there are things my kids go back to over and over, and a zine making kit is a brilliant idea.

Thank you so much Rachel!
