I’m a UX content designer, so I spend my workday writing clear and compelling instructions for apps and websites. And when I need to feel get pumped up about good tech writing, I look at my favorite recipes, even though the format is different. The best are such a feat of function—and I’m stoked you mentioned this. Are there any recipe developers that you think are especially good at writing?

I also turn to sci-fi and speculative fiction for general inspo, so I’m feeling quite seen. Working on The Left Hand of Darkness right now!

The Left Hand of Darkness is one of my absolute favorites! And I love hearing this perspective from a technical writer in a different field.

For recipe writers - I've always loved the Chez Panisse books, especially The Chez Panisse Cafe Cookbook. Tamar Adler's the Everlasting Meal is a masterwork. Any of Camilla Wynne's books too, or Abra Berens.

I love The Dispossessed so much, one of my all-time faves! Also your cobbler is on my to-make list, that sugar crust looks so rad.

I’ve been longing for the Hainish to come whisk us all into a better timeline lately 💛 I hope you like the cobbler- would love to know what you think! I think it could work with a pear as well for fall

Yeah, I'm ready to be whisked for sure!! Pear cobbler would be awesome if I don't get round to peaches (they're still going here!), thank you for the idea!
